simplify your game (IT’S MORE EFFECTIVE)

you should master the basics before you do more complicated moves. the best place to start is to have a move and a counter.

so for guards: (THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE FOR A SLASHER, IF YOUR A GOOD SHOOTER, THE COUNTER CAN BE A SHOT)

Move: Hesitation Drive

Counter: Crossover

Counter#2:Between the legs

Finishing Move: Layup

Counter: Spin Move

Counter#2: Pump fake

for post players

Move: Jump Hook

Counter: Dropstep/Spin

Counter#2: Pump fake

These combinations can work well, and if they don’t, then feel free to add a counter to the counter, but don’t over complicate things. You see nba players and they have all these moves, but you have to understand they worked on their game for thousands of hours, and at some point they began with simple moves. Also these moves should suffice, depending on your competition especially if it’s just pickup, or with friends. Also it’s much more effective, as if you master these moves, there really isn’t much point, where as if you had 10 moves, like stepbacks, pull backs, etc.. it would take longer to master, and you don’t a base of “go to moves”, you can still add stepbacks and pull backs, but add them later after you have built a solid foundation.

god bless
